Hiking Tour at the Old Mining Sites

Transfer by bus to Trapaga, where we will take the funicular or cable train to get up to La Arboleda Mountain ( distance 1,198 m ), a beautiful natural area where the splendorous mining past is still visible. La Arboleda was at one time where the miners lived and worked, with many of the workers’ houses and the trade union’s headquarters still existing.

Among other wonderful views, Zuloko Cliff and Las Carmenes Pit stand out as perfect spots for photography lovers. Passing the village, we will start or hiking trip, escorted by our guide-monitor. There are different possibilities of hiking trips lasting about 2 hrs, depending on the diffi culty of the activity. Traditional lunch at the miner village will be offered after return to Bilbao.
