The Villa Lucía Wine Centre was born to know, understand and love it.

For this aim, it makes use not only of traditional resources, but also of the latest technology, such as audiovisual effects, holograms or even a virtual tasting, so that even children can know this universe too. Pleasant, suggestive and, above all, revealing. Through this visit you will become an active subject and will discover why wine is the most universal drink. If you are interested, you will have the opportunity of visit the enology library or their the botanical garden, with sculptures, cascades and tree species coming from all around the world. A wine tasting with sampling of local food will be served before your depart to the next venue.

After the visit of Villa Lucia, you will be welcome by a member of the Eguren Family at the amazing complex Eguren Ugarte (so well known also as Heredad de Ugarte). Eguren Ugarte, is an international family business and one of the historical wineries in Rioja region. The firm began in the world of wine in 1870. With more than 130 hectares of our own vineyards, we unite tradition and modernity. The Eguren Ugarte family began grape growing thanks to Anastasio Eguren, great-great grandfather of the founder of the Eguren Ugarte winery, Victorino Eguren. Certified Rioja qualified wines are produced here.

Walking at a winery amongst barrels and vineyards is a unique experience that you willl certainly enjoy. But you will also be captivated by a hands-on activity around the grape growing and the winemaking experience. With more than 130 hectares of their own vineyards, they link tradition and modernity. Their wines are enjoyed in more than 25 countries and they have built a hotel above their 2,000m2 of cellars. This winery is the perfect place for visitors to enjoy a part of the local history, taste and try the the fruits of their vineyards and the wine-makers culture.
