Traditional Basque games and sports are rooted in everyday rural work, which the locals turned into entertainment in their free time. Either individually or collectively, the goal is to measure the capacity to carry out tasks related to farm work, such as grass cutting, stone lifting, handicap races, tug-of-war, etc.
In this magnificent Gymkhana, participants are divided into teams and wear an identifying neck scarf for each team. All the teams, with the support of professionals, will participate in a variety of games, including sokatira (tug-of-war), wood chopping, txingas (handicap races), etc., all for fun, teamwork, and physical effort.
During the event, participants will be able to drink all the refreshments and water they wish. Afterwards, hors d’oeurves will be served in the house garden followed by full dinner inside this centuries old farmhouse.
